Hello,
I am having issues with my laptop. It is an Acer Aspire 4720z with Vista 32bit Home premium. I dont know what else you will need to help but yesterday I go to turn on my laptop and this page pops up and says "Windows Failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. If windows files have been damaged or configured incorrectly, startup repair can help diagnose and fix the problem. If power was interrupted during startup, choose start windows normally." Then it gives me 2 options Launch startup repair (recommended) or start windows normally.
Well when I chose both of those options it does nothing they both just blink for a few seconds and goes back to the first page. So I tried to hit F8 after I turn it off and then back on and I get the Advanced Boot option page. Repair your computer, Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, Safe Mode with Command Prompt, Enable Boot logging, Enable low res video, Last known good configuration, directory service restore mode, debugging mode, disable automatic restart on system failure, disable driver signature enforcement. I had tried every single one of these and nothing works, it keeps taking me back to the "Windows Error Recovery" page. I don't have a recovery disk and vista was preinstalled when I bought it. I didn't install any hardware or shut down during start up. It is always shut down normally. So I am lost. I have no idea what else I can do. Any help in this would be highly appreciated.
