Windows Experience Index Crash

Hello peeps,

Forgive me if this is in the wrong section or if it has been covered before.

I did a clean install of vista home premium 64bit last night and haven't had a single problem with it except for this. I ran my Windows Experience Index, and it just froze almost instantly. I thought "ah I'll leave it for a moment to see what happens", but everything had come to a stop.

Does anyone know of a fix or anything?

I've downloaded the latest ati drivers, but not the ones for my motherboard from their site. I'll go abouts doing that when I get home.

I know i could just avoid doing a index rating, but it'll just bug me until it gets done.

Thanks,

Rich

It seems to only happen if I'm using aero, which is a bit strange.

I can do a WEI, but I can't use aero. I've tried with both my graphics card (ATI X1650PRO) and onboard graphics (ATI X1200). All my drivers are up-to-date and I've tried loads of different ones, old ones and new ones.

I think it may be my motherboard. I'll be replacing that over the next week or so and see how it goes from there.
