Windows host process (Rundll32) has stopped working

Hello, I run Vista home premium 32 bit. Lately my computer has been running really slow so at first I thought it was a virus and ran various virus and malware removal programs, still didn't fix the problem. I also ran some registry cleaners which I think may have caused this problem. When I click on Mouse in the control panel I get this error "Unable to connect to the synaptics point device driver" and then I get another error saying "Windows host process (Rundll32) has stopped working", as in the title. Can anyone help me with this? By the way, I figured out that the problem was I had Mysqld.exe on my computer which I don't need, so I don't use that anymore.
