Solved Windows SubSystem Application Stopped Working

Not sure if I'm in the right section but in other attempts to solve this keep coming across drivers as possible cause... my HP Laserjet1020 which normally works fine, today is sending the message 'Windows SubSystem Application stopped working and was closed' Can't get the message again as was longer (something about spools??) - When I attempt to print anyway the print box won't come up at all. I've tried going to control panel >windows features>Print svces>and checking the LPD Print Services & LPR Port Monitor boxes, (Print client is unchecked) however the Print Svces box although checked is checked in grey not black.

Also if try to uninstall driver I just get the same error message. Won't let me proceed.

Can anybody please help?

Go to search by start button
Type services
in services make sure print spooler is started and automatic

ALL FIXED - An update - i have solved this now with the fix facility on the HP site. Very handy and solved it quickly...
