windows update

hi there,

I have Windows Vista X64 Ultimate and every time i want to format my hard drive and reinstall Vista, i need to remove 2 gigs of RAM, since i get a blue screen during the installation of Vista because i have 4 gigs of RAM. So i need to then get this update "Windows6.0-KB929777-v2-x64.msu".

My question is.....is there anyway to integrate this update into a back up copy of my Vista disc?. It's abit anoying to keep removing 2 gigs every time i want to install Vista.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

lower the memory speed in bios before you install, it can work with 4gb during the install

Cool, thanks. I've not heard about doing that, i guess if it doesn't work, removing 2gigs isn't that bad. It is only once in a while.

Vista SP1 is out soon, so i could probably integrate that just like i did with windows XP.

Awesome!. What a great little program. Very easy to use and i was able to integrate the updates i want.

Hopefully it should install now without any blue screens!.

Is this problem specific to a certain chipset or motherboard? I had no issues installing with 4gb or 8gb.

This is from microsoft's website and this is what seems to cause the blue screen....
