Windows Vista Service Pack 1

Please help, anyone lol. I'm currently trying to install a new router. When i insert the installation disc it says i must update to Service Pack 1. I already have the other service packs, they successfully installed, but this piece of shiii service pack 1 won't install. It downloads, and updates and when i reboot, it doesn't finish completely and it starts up and says an update is needed.. please help. PM or anythinggg thanks.

It would be my guess that you actually have SP1. Read this article about vista

I think i need to uninstall drivers.. i'm not sure how to do that though.. please help. its not letting me install anything, and i need it for my new router..

nah, it keeps saying i need to install it. i have service pack 2 and 3.

With all respect, you should not be able to download 2 without one and there is no 3

Are you actually sure you have Vista and not XP?

yeahh, i have Windows Vista Home Premium, this is the biggest pain in the ass i've ever had to deal with, working with computers. i'm at a dead end. i have no clue what to do. cause i don't think i can install the router without the disc, and when i put the disc in it tells me i need service pack 1 or later.. i don't get ittttttttt. why won't it just ****ING download and installal;dghna;oedvha;obvhadfbg

Im lost, bottom line there is no Vista SP3

From the start menu type in CMD. In the black box type in systeminfo. Near the top tell us what it says beside OS Version. Also as Rich said there is no SP3 for Vista. Did you look at Rich's link on how to get the latest service pack?

If you don't have internet you can download them and use a usb drive to transfer them.
