Would a better processor load sites faster?

I revived a Viao CR-220e laptop with the most recent updates and is extremely responsive when surfing the only thing that i need to figure out how to improve is how some heavy websites (for lack of a better word) don't load all the content in the site for example; IGN. Any suggestions on what could improve this? Do you think swapping the processor for a bit beefier one will help with this? I have Firefox 52.9.0esr browser on it as it is probably the best for Vista at this stage. It's got 4GB RAM, Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 / 2 GHz. This message was posted on the wrong thread which derailed the OP topic so i moved it here. Thank much!!

4 GB RAM was the maximum for Vista x86, but was rather minimal for Vista x64 (which I never used). OEMs commonly shipped Vista on inadequate hardware in an effort to keep the price tag in the Windows XP ballpark, which was the main source of Vista’s bad reputation. You might actually want to try a clean install of Vista x86, considering your browsers are going to be x86 anyway. Your “My Computer” info shows “Win10,” so why don’t you simply use that for IGN??

I couldn't find out exactly what socket you have, there are 2 different ones for the listed processor, but it seems the fastest one for either socket is a 2.6 ghz dual core. I don't think that you'll see much difference with that. Also 4 gb of ram is the max for your computer. If you want to continue using that computer don't expect too much from it.

I can actually upgrade to a 2.8GHz. I just want to figure out what can aid me a bit in such heavy websites given my machine's limitations.

I don't know for sure what the main site is. When I search on IGN and click on the top selection Bing provides, the top of the screen is shown on the attached file. Below that is Latest News as shown in the second attached file. There is more beneath that but I'm not going to keep creating screenshots, especially since I don't know if I'm where you expect me to be.

Yes. I noted that the page display in FF is different than in Opera. In FF, there is a lot of blank space between sections whereas in Opera, it is continuous. Sea Monkey displays the same as FF and IE9 wouldn't display any thumbnails. Tried different zoom levels in all but Opera (don't know where that setting is) and it didn't make any difference. Note, that I don't have the latest driver for my graphics card because, using the latest drivers disables hardware acceleration. I also don't have any graphics cores on my CPU.

I did all the updates available with the exception of one optional one for Windows Live which won't install due to obvious reasons. Should i try going to Device Manager, uninstall the drivers then install again?

You've asked a lot of questions about the IGN website and I've tried to answer. However, I have no idea what your results are for that website so I don't know if reinstalling drivers would do anything. If the correct drivers are available for installation, I don't see it causing a problem.
