Hi, i have been having problems with my pc ever since i first got it christmas 2008. i decided to get a new pc to play spore, so picked this one as it was enough to meet the requirements to play it. the only problem is it crashes after a few minutes of playing, and crashes with every other game i try playing no matter how old or little requirements they require. most times the bluescreen of death will show but sometimes a pop up appears and says something about the instruction at bla bla memory bla bla then the computer would just reboot. it also does this when i run google earth or dvds sometimes. i have tried many ways of fixing it myself and searched the net for answers with out any success. please help me, my warrenty has ran out so i cant take it back to the shop and i have never been able to use the computer to its full potential.

thank you.

Welcome

It would be easier to answer if you filled out your system specs. Until then, it could be memory, overheating, drivers or many other causes.

Hello danny10,
Go to C > Windows > Minidump, zip up the files and upload them with your next post.
You may need to save them to your desktop first.
Upload the files and we will take a look at them.

I would start by running a file check.
Open a command prompt as administrator and type in sfc/scannow then press enter, this will check the file system for errors, you may have to run this more than once if errors are found.
Next, go to your HDD makers site and download their diagnostic software, run the program and check for HDD errors.

Run a full virus scan and check for malware.

Malwarebytes

If you have anything overclocked, set it back to default for now.

The minidump files are inconclusive

STOP 0x0000007A: KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR

Usual causes: Memory, Paging file corruption, File system, Hard drive, Cabling, Virus infection, Improperly seated cards, BIOS, Bad motherboard, Missing Service Pack

You may find that you have to format and re-install Vista, if for no other reason than to eliminate the OS.

Try the above and post the results. Good luck.

OK, then if you want we can get you back to factory specs. All of your programs, etc will be gone, you will have to reinstall; I think it is too soon for that. Lets take our time. Usually the Blue screen is hardware

Boot your computer, listen for the beeps. One? Two? Three? Long? short? etc.
Listen carefully and get back.

I just read your malware report that Stoney asked for, there are 14 infections, that can be the problem. They must be removed.

If not done already, run malware and at the end you may be given the option to remove or
Quarantine, take the choice that is given.

When you did it this, did you have to reinstall your programs?

Yes shut it down, tur on and then listen for the beeps.

If they are quarantined, that is fine for now.
