Rich, I don t understand what you mean by suggested procedure.

You have 3 minidumps uploaded, what s wrong ?

The attached files on this forum rejected my dump files, that s the reason.

TY
Those are the important files. Going to those other sites leaves open the possiblity of a virus and/or a long wait for the download. I will examine the reports shortly.

Appears to be a driver. Give this a try

Driver Verifier

I'd suggest that you firstbackup your data and then make sure you've got access to another computer soyou can contact us if problems arise. Then make a System Restore point (so youcan restore the system using the Vista/Windows 7 Startup Repair feature).

In Windows 7 you can make a Startup Repair disk by going to Start....AllPrograms...Maintenance...Create a System Repair Disc - with Windows Vistayou'll have to use your installation disk or the "Repair your computer"option at the top of the Safe Mode menu .

Then, here's the procedure:
- Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click"Next"
- Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click"Next"
- Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation" and click"Next"
- Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
- Select "Finish" on the next page.

Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen. Continue to useyour system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do thatrepeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because
Driver Verifier isstressing the drivers out. If it doesn't crash for you, then let it run for atleast 36 hours of continuous operation (an estimate on my part).

If you can't get into Windows because it crashes too soon, try it in Safe Mode.
If you can't get into Safe Mode, try using System Restore from yourinstallation DVD to set the system back to the previous restore point that youcreated.

DriverVerifier - Enable and Disable

Hi again Rich,

All the Verifier procedure is going well if I can do a System Restore ? To do this procedure I need to enter into Vista, don't you ?

If this does prove to be a driver problem, System Restore will not help. You will go back into time with restore, but you most likely will have the same driver. If it is a driver problem, we must find out which one and update it.

The System Restore point was one of my reflex to solve this issue at the beginning. Unfortunately, it didn't change anything.

I remembered that during the Vista SP1 update, during the procedure, my laptop suddently shut down drastically.

This is the file "windows 6.0...." I was trying to install on attached files.

By the way, I booted with Hiren boot CD and I can access to all my files as I were into windows XP (mini XP included).

If you need others reports I can give you here.

An error with the MBR will not be fixed by format. If you format you must reinstall the entire OS or use an image.
I would give this a try and hope
Reboot and start tapping the f8 key to get to safe mode and the command prompt.. type bootrec.exe /fixmbr enter, reboot

I already did this command with WinRe CD on yesterday.

I fixed also with /fixboot, but this not fixed my issue.

I'm not sure that MBR was corrupted as I run Antivir Rescue CD from Hiren Boot.

How can I check my MBR ? I see a lot of progs in Hiren boot, but I'm not sure which one to choose to be at easy.

Anyway, I can rebuild MBR with bcedit. I've not yet tested it.

Many thanks Rich

I think I can skip the step as I don't have a multiboot menu when starting my laptop.

As far as I know winre is the windows recovery drive. That being said, we do not seem to be communicating to each other. What I am saying is that if we can fix the boot, you should be ok. We are having problem with the boot, so I suggest save your stuff and then either, get a Vista DVD, use the recovery partition or buy Seven and install fresh. Everything will be new and fixed.
