Its getting old, been upgrading it over the past few years, mainly the ram and the gpu's. Will hold out till some next year before I build another one.
If the drivers dont fix it, it could also be pointing to power issues, faulty ram or overheating. Have you given it a blow out (dust etc).

Hopefully stoney-nutz can assist you in stripping off your old drivers. I usually strip them though device manager and delete driver sofware, then use a third party program like Drivesweeper to safely get rid of traces in the system registry and system 32 folder.
I usually do all this in safe mode with reboot inbetween then reinstall the new drivers.
But wait for Stoney cos I am not that familiar with laptops. Hopefully the drivers solve the problem.

ps drivesweeper is free and safe available from guru3d.com. It usually works with most drivers. Make sure drivers are uninstalled first, in safe mode, before using it (again, in safe mode)

Which Vista 32 bit version are you running (homepremium/business/ultimate etc)
Did you download the right ones for your operating system?

I am assuming you downloaded all of those drivers for your system. Which ones come up with the " do not meet minimum system requirements" message?

Okay, SP42201 are the Nvidia Graphics Drivers
SP43325 is an update for Quickplay. Dont worry about that one for now

SP44027 is the Intel Matrix Storage Manager.
I would start with the graphics card first. Before you begin, is your computer clear of dust and obstacles?

Also have a look in Windows update, Update history and see if your computer has upgraded the video drivers and if so how long ago? Does this coincide with when the problems began?

Before we strip off the drivers, its best to narrow down where the problem begin. So check this FIRST before we do anything else..and the dust....i keep thinking you might be overheating.

Check when it was installed? If it was recently or coincides with when the BSOD error began, we can safely assume this is the culprit. Note that windows doenst always install the most uptodriver. So the driver date Stoney-nutz refered to may be the date of the driver itself (its release date) and not when it was installed.

Have a look again at Windows Update and check the driver installation date there

it says today.. so it must have installed properly

Not nessarily. I never trust windows to install my core drivers. I install and update them all the time manually myself.

Before you proceed, you need to make sure it is an Nvidia gpu or an Intel one. Look in your device manager again and in the list you will find Display Adaptors. Expand this and see what your display adapters are.

It appears as though your model of laptop may have two variations:

1) Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 OR
2) NVIDIA GeForce Go 7150M

Before you uninstal be sure you have downloaded the right driver and that your computer can install it. You can run the setup for the downloaded driver and cancel it just before agreeing to install.

Do you know how to boot into safe mode?
There are usually two ways, one through msconfig and the other via the bootup (by pressing an F key, usually F2 or F8...mine is F8).

Once your in safe mode, go into your device manager and expand your Display Adapters.
Right click on the entry for Nvidia Geforce Go 7150M. You should have the option to uninstal there.
Once its removed, restart the computer. Even if the computer doesnt prompt you to do so, still restart it.

You can then install the new driver. I would usually recommend making sure all traces of the previous driver be removed, something thats not easy to do manually.

it should be alright. If not you can try again, this time running a third party software program like Driversweeper to remove all traces before installing the new driver.

When you finished installing the new driver, make sure you turn off Safe Boot in msconfig if you set it from System Configuration.

Hope this helps

Just in case your not sure how to run Safe mode via msconfig, simply type it in your start/start search box and and the System Configuration program will appear in the menu. Run it and in the Boot tab of the configuration window, selec the tick box Safe boot. Click apply and restart the computer. It will remain in safe mode until you run the tool again and deselect it.
I would recommend using Msconfig just in case your not sure which F key to press when your comp starts up or you miss it.
Let us know how you get on.

If it installed why am I removing it.. and what would the correct driver be/where would I find it to make sure it is downloaded? Is that the one I asked about earlier?

My Computer

Yes its the one you asked about earlier, which Stoney-nutz kindly provided a link for. However, there doenst appear to be any graphics drivers there anymore.
Bear with me I will try to locate it for you.
Just confirm that the model of your graphics chip, as shown in device manager is NVIDIA GeForce Go 7150M.
