How to ask for help

Hi

I'm a silver surfer with only 18 months experience.
I know virtually nothing.

I have Vista Home premium installed in my Dell PC.

My problem is after 20 minutes use my PC Locks every minute if I do not
touch a key and I must insert my password all the time.
If I am quick when the screen goes black and I touch a key I'm OK
for another minute.

I have tried System Restore, it solved the problem for two days only.

I have changed various Power Options but nothing cures my problem.
My Power options are Turn off display Never
Put computer to sleep Never
Require a password on wakeup No ( I must when locked )
When I press the power button Shut down
When I press the sleep button Sleep

I can't think of any more information to give.
Thanks for any help I may receive.
