Intel E8400 Temp problem

Fingers crossed it works for you. Because running at those temps long term is really bad for the CPU :(

Well it seems he Intel Speedstep is enabled, which would explain the CPU downclocking when it's idle.

As for the temps, he is using a stock cooler in a place that is generally hot. Having a warm room all the time won't help temps on the PC much. Better cooling will be needed in general.

Exactly. I read on Intel, they wrote 72.6c temperature. Mine is running at 69-70c. My mobo dosnt allow me to disable Speedstep :(. Intel DG43NB SUCKS :@

But not that hot ;)

. My mobo dosnt allow me to disable Speedstep :(

Speedstep is not a bad thing. It only downclocks when when it's not under a heavy load.

Much better :)

Now all you need is a new CPU cooler, add a couple of more case fans (one for input and another exhaust) and you'll be sorted :)

It's still a little warm and I bet the temps rise to the 60-70 range under load, but that is a BIG improvement in comparison :D

Well done :)

Is it still lagging?

Not at all lagging any more. Under load it reaches 50-55. I added a fan in front of case. When I'll get a little money, I'll buy a cooler master.
