No HDMI sound or speak/headphones sound

No, not necessary, just wondered what that was, K, now , do you have a red speaker icon down in the task bar , if so, when you right click and then see a window, what do you see when you open Sound Manager ?

Yes my speaker shows a red circle with a white x in it. What do you mean by "sound manger"? all I see is open volume mixer , playback devices , recording devices , and sounds.

No, not that, a red icon of Realtek HD Audio Manager , Go to Start> Control Panel > Device Manager> Open up Sound, Game and Video Controllers , You should see the Realtek High Definition Audio . See if you have that please.

Ya I have it and i also have ATI HDMI Audio.

Right click it and the ATI HDMI Audio and see if they show working properly.

Go to start button, in the search window you see there, paste this between the arrows < C:\Program Files\Realtek\Audio\HDA\RtHDVCpl.exe > and see if it takes you to the file. If so, right click it and select Run as Admin. See if this gets that rascal opened up .

Yeppers, that is your Audio Sound Manager . Now , see if you can get the sound working , test the speakers out . Configure the speakers, test sound out. Post back if you can get this working now.

Hmmm. Highlight Speaker , which has a check mark in it, then click set as default . Put a check mark in appropriate box. Front , left and right or surround sound, then press the test button.

The "set as default" wont click and when I hit down it says 2/ 2.1 speakers , 4/ 4.1 speakers , 5.1 speakers , 7.1 speakers.

Use 5.1, the fact that it has check mark would , apparently , indicate it is set as default, i just checked mine. Use 5.1 config and see if it test out now

Do you have another computer to test those speaker out on, you should have sound, just by an overlook , you do have volume turned up, right ?

Playing with mine again, try the 2.1 , does it show pic's of speakers on that Window of Sound Manager ?

No its a desktop with built in speakers.
