The experts here suggest Microsoft security essentials, it will boot faster and is made specifically for windows. Uninstall your current Anti virus and download MSE. Use the revno tool to uninstall your current anti virus. You should begin to load quicker.

Make a system restore point, before you uninstall, in case of problems

I never said, that it would be easy to begin to have a faster computer, I just said that we could do it.

Microsoft Security Essentials is one of the best antivirus. Not only that it uses low resources, which will help you, but because it is free and protects the computer very well.
As far as usage in that photo. If it comes down to it we have more sophisticated and detailed ways to check. We can even see what the process is.

Was there much of an improvement with the AntiVirus change?

You can see a list of what is running.

Bring up the task manager, again, like in the screen shot.

Click on process

Click on show all users

That shows every thing that is currently running on your machine and how much memory it uses.

You can even go here, download for a lot of information

http://download.cnet.com/Process-Explorer/3000-2094_4-10223605.html

But it may give more than you need to understand.

Turn off all your programs, if you see some large usage that is not on my list. Let me know.

I show that I am using 20% of memory and I have 6gb. I was using 1gb

You are using about 2 GB, a bit high. What is it now with the new AntiVirus?

Questions
How long to go from desktop to internet?
How many GB are you using with the new antivirus?

My Computer

First one I found, shut down Nero at boot. That should not be there at boot. It takes the most ram. You have 2 different Nero process. Shut them down at boot, then boot and tell me if you work better.

In startup untick Nero. Tell me if you work better. Start from boot and then go to the internet.

If malwarebytes is on startup untick that too. Not needed at start up. MSE checks for Malware. Scan with malwarebytes once a week to be sure nothing was missed
