Getting a Microsoft Windows pop-up window that I cannot fix. It says"
CLOSE PROGRAMS TO PREVENT INFORMATION LOSS
Your computer is low on memory. Save your files and close these programs.
Macrovision Software Manager Agent
Windows will only close enough programes to restore needed memory.
It doesn't matter whether I click on Close Program or Cancel, nothing happens except the pop-up goes away. Typically appears 2-3 more times per hour. No corelation to How Many or Which programs I have open or what I am doing. I am using an "always on" Internet connection and it does not matter whether I have a browser window(s) open
HP diagnosed as a RAM problem, they replaced the motherboard and re-installed the memory sticks. Problem started again a day after receiving it back. Called today and they want me to return the laptop to them AGAIN.
This is an HP Pavillion dv6700 Notebook, Vista Home Premuim 32bit, 3.0 GB RAM, Intel Duo2 Core 2.0 GHz processor.
