start up problems plz help

Have you tried this?

1: Check whether the system loading sound available.
1.1: Sound available. àChange the backlight brightness by pressing the FN+F7 hotkey for a try.
1.1.1: Problem solved. --> LCD backlight has been turned off.
1.1.2: Problem not solved. --> Contact ASUS service center for help.
1.2: Cannot hear the sound of loading system. --> Contact ASUS service center for help.

tried fn and f7... didnt help... sounds r ok...no beep sound...but..its switchin on...fan sounds ok...

Dwarf, the poster indicated that the only change made was to Msconfig. The poster further indicates that it had something to do with the video card. I checked my msconfig and there is nothing listed regarding the video card. Can you think of anything else that may have been touched. Thanks for stopping by.

When you boot your laptop, do you get anything showing on the screen at all? Or is it just totally blank?

no nothing..since i made the changes.. its just blank..
OK. Do you get any messages from the BIOS immediately after switching it on?

hold on, lets try system restore (blind, more experimenting lol)

start pc, wait 2 minutes > sign in wait 1 minute > windows key + R key >
type rstsui.exe > enter wait 2 minutes
hit tab key 2 times > enter > wait 1 minute
Hit down arrow 5 times > enter wait 10 seconds hit enter again
hit tab 1 time > enter.....cross fingers again

this will take about ten minutes from the last enter.... good luck again

nothing worked kenny... infact took the lap to asus senter in my country,, u know here no much technical knowledge i think.they dont want to even try..as u all helped.. just they wanted to format the hard drive.,, wat to do lets see... thanks a lot to richard kenny..dwarf..

kenny ...robin here again,, you know i gave my laptop for repair to ASUScenter... its been almost 1 week,, but seems these guys have no idea..they are just saying me it must be a mother board problem! !! but i told them it was working perfectly fine...until i made the changes..so it must be a software problem. but they have no any ideas about bringing it back to life again,,
told them even to connect it to a external display..and even that didn't work...
please give me any ideas you come across of how to be handled..so that i can suggest them..
any ideas would be appreciating.
