One is supposed to place oneself before the fire, not atop it.
Heat is good.....it takes one a lot less time and energy to cool oneself, than it does in endeavouring to warm, and retain warmth. One is conversant with 'heat loss', especially in much colder climes, and the nastiness of the 'wind chill factor'.......in much hotter climates, heat loss is sitting in a cooling lake, with the wind adding further coolness to the being. Wonderful.
Sooner that than 14 layers of clothing. Bah!
