It's a negative. This is stock P7805u FX, what is custom in it is the CPU and dual 500GB disks. Btw, my machine is refurbished one which I got for $750 at Tiger Direct. As I found out from the serial number, it's the one of the first that came with such high display resolution. On the later ones Gateway put panels with the 1440x900 resolution.

Well, it looks like I was, but frankly I wanted that resolution and I wasn't sure untill I opened the box. Before that I was searching the Ebay for the WUXGA panel to swap, you know just in case. :D

I can't agree that laptops are pains - some of us prefer them.
