Mystery BSOD problem

i forgot there for a moment.

i was reading the dump. its something to do with ntkrpamp.exe

vista driver fault

ntkrpamp.exe essentially is one of the main (core) windows drivers, and are essentially "windows" .

you basically have windows crashing itself, or something causing windows to crash itself.

you really have something messed up there.

i was searching on the bsod index about the bugcheck str: 0x7f_d and i couldnt find anything, so then i proceeded to search on google.

my hunch says that your OS is corrrupt. but, there are many other possibilities. if youve ran memtext 86, chkdsk, set clocks to default, updated drivers for other components (gpu, mobo chipset) and STILL you are getting bsods, then it is something with your OS. if you have sp1 then i suggest that you upgrade to service pack 2.

and just in case, if this information is wrong forgive me, im no expert at bsod problems

have you done or able to have any other hardware tests done?, all it can take for a system to fall over is a 10th of a volt or a few hz off. have you tried swopping out components, or a burn-in/stress test of any sort ?

LOL. they said the same thing that we suggested: memtest, chkdsk,driver verifier, mobo drivers, cool n' quiet. if they get this thing sorted out then thumbs up to them!

but what i didnt realize is the power supply, they suggested that you check that and i think it would be a good idea to.

that is true but, i really doubt that the power supply is the problem. hey did you get bsods everytime when you just STARTED using your computer, or did the bsod catch on after a while of computer usage. if it started after a period of time on the computer then i doubt that its the powersupply.
