Good afternoon,

Can anyone please tell me what the last/latest version of Google Chrome was for Windows Vista was please?
I have researched this and it appears to be v34.0.1847.116.
I know that it is not supported any longer.

Thanks in advance.

You must be psychic or something, because just yesterday I revised my answer to your October 6, 2017 query (you might want to skip to the second paragraph): Google Chrome

My Computer

System One

  • Operating System
    Vista Home Premium x86 SP2

    CPU
    Intel Q6600
    Memory
    3 GB
    Graphics Card(s)
    NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT
On second thought, what if it was me who had a psychic premonition? :openmouth: I never used Chrome on Vista myself.

nope. It is v49.0.2623.112 for Vista on SSE2 capable CPUs (Intel Pentium 4, AMD Athlon 64 & greater)
for non-SSE2 processors (ex. Intel Pentium 3 & AMD Athlon XP) running Vista it is v34.0.1847.137 (I have a copy of this specific version)

    Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate x64
    Manufacturer/Model
    Dell Inspiron 640m/e1405 laptop
    CPU
    Intel Core 2 Duo T7600 2.33Ghz
    Memory
    4Gb (3.24Gb usable to OS)
    Sound Card
    Sigmatel/IDT STAC9200
    Internet Speed
Spectrum Cable Internet up to 100Mbps
If you needed a browser that does not depend on SSE2 (in which case I was definitely not psychic after all), then Firefox 45.9 might be much easier to find than Chrome 34.

nah. OP needs to upgrade his PC that has SSE2 support (but retain Vista of course). I have overhauled old PCs that had non-SSE2 CPUs and replaced the motherboards & CPUs with SSE2 capable ones (AMD Athlon 64s or Intel Core 2 Duos)

Filehippo has a copy of Chrome versions 49.0.2623.112 here and 34.0.1847.137 here.

You are probably right erpster4, however I don't think those FileHippo links you posted are any good. Did you actually test them? If anyone wants to download Chrome 49.0.2623.112 x86 directly from Google, the link I gave for Google Chrome in post #2 will point them in the right direction; but I
have no idea at all where to find Chrome 34 for SSE processors.

I still have a local copy of the chrome 34 browser stored on one of my sd cards - let me know so I can upload it somewhere

but users should ditch very old systems with non-SSE2 machines
nobody, I mean NOBODY should be using SSE or non-SSE2 cpus starting next decade (year 2020 & beyond) - they should stop living deep in the past and get with the times and upgrade their hardware (use at least an intel pentium 4 or amd athlon 64, any old cpu that has sse2 support)

Original poster PAB hasn't replied to this thread in more than a year, and in fact hasn't posted anywhere at Vista Forums in more than half a year. As for myself, I don't own a non-SSE2 processor and don't use Chrome on Vista at all. Are you familiar with the term necropost?
