I didn't find the files(C:\Users\"USERNAME"\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-40234-0.sysdata.xml, C:\Users\"USERNAME"\AppData\Local\Temp\WER13A2.tmp.version.txt) but I did find the C:\Windows\Minidump\Mini021309-02.dmp. Along with 10 other files like that one. But I don't know how to zip them up(I've never had a bsod on xp before).
I checked problem history and they all contained the same thing except for one single line:

I think I should try unzip the .dmp , and I really don't want to take it back to the store becouse it's brand new and don't see how getting another new computer would help.

I'm not surprised those files are no longer around. They are part of WERCON - Windows Error Reporting (Problem Reports and Solutions). Once you closed the screen that showed their names to you, they were gone. You could probably find them again in WERCON, but at this time, they won't be needed.
If you want to keep the system - that's fine - it is your system and of course your decision to make. When I suggested returning the system, my thoughts were surrounding the
0x1a bugcheck itself - which in many cases I have seen related to a hardware problem, specifically RAM. An HP laptop here is the 4th - the other 3 kept freezing and I returned them. #4 works fine and is now running Windows 7 x64 without incident.
I will be glad to run the dumps for you, but I prefer to have system information to refer to as I process them.

DOCUMENTS folder.

Next, download the attached zip and extract the lone batch script file to your DESKTOP. Then go to desktop,
RIGHT-click on the batch file icon and select "Run as Administrator".
It will run for approximately 4-8 minutes. You'll see status info scroll on the cmd/DOS screen. Other windows will open and close. No user interaction is required during this process - just let it run. It may appear to "hang" a few times - curser blinking on the DOS screen, but it is not hanging... just working. This app dumps Event Viewer records, executes msinfo32, AutoRuns, systeminfo, driverquery, WMI, etc... and picks up the mini kernel dump files. The resulting output can be found in a newly created sub-folder of Documents and is named
Vista_BSOD_Support.
Also, run a Vista System Health Report - save in HTML default format:
START | type
perfmon /report into the start-search box - a viewer will appear and perfmon will run for about 60 seconds. Save as an HTML file (HTML is the default file extension - you'll see it when you go to save it).
To zip files in Vista - simply RIGHT-click on the Vista_BSOD_Support folder and select "send to compressed (zipped) folder" - you'll then find a file named Vista_BSOD_Support.zip - now do the same with the PERFMON HTML file - right-click, send to compressed/zipped folder. Look for the name you chose, but with a ZIP file extention.
