Best Windows Vista Antivirus With The Extended Kernel?

it works really well and functioned perfectly! I never had any issues with it
Well your Vista installation soon decided it wanted to break itself, so I’m still skeptical about using Avast 18.8 with the extended kernel.
Frankly, those who are concerned about online security are best advised to abandon legacy versions of Windows...

(It might be wise to have an up-to-date image to restore from in case your system becomes unusable!)

it broke because I tried installing some of the server 2008 updates and it stopped working after that (big mistake)
At MSFN they generally update Windows first, install the extended kernel later. Now wither 3 will probably post to express his disdain for Server 2008 updates.

from what ive seen on msfn its recommended to not install any updates at all on vista except the sha-2 for server 2008 (the one that gets the extended kernal working

ive moved on to linux mint now and I don't really plan to go back to windows unless it's really needed (like program compatibility)

Wow! That was a quick decision. You were raving about Vista for the longest time.
Is it that perhaps the Pale Moon crew won't support XP or Vista? I've seen you over there raving about Basilisk lately.

I would suggest a dual boot of lubuntu and Windows 8.1. Oh wait: He already tried that in June 2021. I’m thinking something along the lines of OSADHD, but unsure what to suggest.

sorry if I keep switching operating systems much but it's been a goal of mine for the last 5 year to eventually move away from windows and on to linux and now seem like the best time to do it (when windows is at its worst) and it's not from ADHD
