Hi
Last year i had a problem with my PC crashing and got some superb advice from Jaycee which seemed to solve the problem.
Last week I ran a malware scan which came back as clear but after windows ran some updates the next day, the pc kept going to a blue screen.
I have tried to run the pc :
"A problem has been detected & windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
If this is the 1st time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, disable or uninstall any antivirus, disc defragmentation or back up utilities. Check hard drive configuration & checkfor any updated drivers.
Run CHKDSF/F to check for hard drive corruption and the restart your computer.
Technical Info:
***STOP: 0x00000024
(0x001904AB, 0x863c789c, 0x863c75cc, 0x85697487)
*** Ntfs.sys Address 85697487
base at 8567D000
Date stamp 4549 aceb"
I have run a bootable hardware diagnostic cd which indicated the problem was software related. I also tried to run the HP restore discs but nothing happens.
Any suggestions welcome, thanks !

I have tried to run the pc :
- in safe mode
- in safe mode with networking
- & launch a start up repair
- in windows recovery mode
- to the last known good configuration
