Oh yah just wanted to mention, when I have utorrent running or using webcam is when it mostly happens. I guess anything that uses lots of bandwidth is creating the problem.. not sure

Just need that one, to be sure nothing has changed.
I am sure that it is the driver or the hardware that it connects to, however.

while I was doing the update from device manager to see if that worked. I tried to zip the minidump file then it bluescreened and gave me a different one.. said device driver was trying to corrupt system or something and was stopped. Its rebooting right now I will try posting the minidumps... well its rebooted and I checked device manager and it shows the 2009 driver even tho it bluescreened while doing the update.

DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION (c4)
A device driver attempting to corrupt the system has been caught. This is
because the driver was specified in the registry as being suspect (by the
administrator) and the kernel has enabled substantial checking of this driver.
If the driver attempts to corrupt the system, bugchecks 0xC4, 0xC1 and 0xA will
be among the most commonly seen crashes.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000062, A driver has forgotten to free its pool allocations prior to unloading.
Arg2: fffffa80077b8bd0, name of the driver having the issue.
Arg3: fffffa80077b8b30, verifier internal structure with driver information.
Arg4: 0000000000000001, total # of (paged+nonpaged) allocations that weren't freed.
Type !verifier 3 drivername.sys for info on the allocations
that were leaked that caused the bugcheck.

This is what we will see
Driver is dated 07
SPTD is still present and the cause of the BSOD is the same.

I am certain that the problem is that driver or the hardware that it uses.
The fact that you work in safe mode without problem is further evidence.

Go to device manager and get as much information about the driver that you can, then we can go to the site.

I uninstalled, then the PCI disappeared in Device Manager. I right clicked network adapters then scanned for hardware changes.. It automatically updated and found the 09 driver and didn't BSOD. So I manually updated the driver and now it shows as 22/02/2011 driver date. And version is 6.247.222.2011. I really hope this works, right after the driver updated the fan kicked on. Not sure why its doing that all the time. Thanks again for all your help

If the BSODs are gone, we can work with the fan. I have a few ideas. But be sure about the BSODs. Use the computer for a few days.

Looks like the BSODs are gone :) I will try a webcam chat tonight just to make sure but have had Utorrent running all night and nothing. Hope they are gone for good *knock on wood* The fan is still buzzing like mad every so often. It will do it for no reason but then if I am watching a video it will sometimes do it as well. I also find my system a little laggy as well. My 3 year warranty is going to expire soon, I think I might take it in and see if they can find any problems... think thats a good idea? What antivirus do you recommend as well?? Thanks

When you are satisfied that the BSODs are fixed we will talk about the fan. Dont spend any money, yet. I suggest that you use the free Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes for a once a week scan for other types of malware.

In combination they are some of the best protection.

ahhhhh BSOD again.. I was updating a Nvidia driver with windows update and it happened. Should I avoid windows update when updating drivers for products?? When I open device manager it seems like it installed the new driver. When I open the history for the windows update it doesn't tell me if it sucessfully installed that driver or not. Should I restore, rollback the driver or just leave it?? Here is the minidump..

Update the drivers for your products manually. I would suggest going to the nvidia website to update the Nvidia display control panel. Updating the drivers and not the Nvidia display control panel will cause problems on some occasions.

hmm.. not sure which driver theres a few but in the driver query I found 2 the NVIDIA nForce RAID Driver and AGP Bus both have 2007 and 2008 date. nvlddmkm shows as 2011. Did you take a look at the minidump, what does it show as causing this BSOD?? Thanks

Will do them manually now Roy thanks for the info

It shows a driver, again. This time a driver that is not the cause. It is a lead MS driver.
