Try this
If you have Internet Explorer
Tools
Internet Options
Advanced
Reset
This removes the addons which can be replaced later

If that does not work try another browser. Fierfox, Chrome, etc.

Hello,

I agree with everything Rich has said, just may I ask, have these websites worked before on this computer, and was there anything that changes that might, just might have broken them?

Have you tried disabling your Firewall TEMPORARILY?

Richard

P.S. I would still recommend running Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Quick Scan, as MBAM has better heuristic scanning features than any other anti-virus program, including Kaspersky, and for Real-Time scanning like this, it may pick up something KIS missed. Though I don't think this is malware related, it can't hurt to look just a little deeper than KIS.

Robin, you see the prior post. I would comply. We have to find out the cause of this.

Dear niemiro, the recent thing i changed was the adsl wireless router, before i used one called "prolink": and now "d-link" . yes the websites were working fine in the prolink and dlink as well. at the beginning when i was starting to use the d-link router, i had problems opening sites like gmail,, bank websites, and all those secure websites. but when i restart my router and clear the temporary files, and clear the cache, and also running dir files as softpub.dll, it was working. but now none of the options were working again. so do you want me to run a Malwarebyte antimalware quick scan??and try?

Dear rich , i forgot to quote one thing ,, as i was searching the internet for this problem i read somewhere i have to run a sfn /scannow in command prompt,, where the scan began and then found some corrupt files. which i was not able to look at coz it was in the windows folder log ,,... may be if i run a MBAM,, will it also be able to repair the files?
let me try the MBAM and come back with a reply.
Thanks.

Run the sfc several times. It does not fix all at once. Read my tutorial first, be sure that it is done right.

Make the CBS.log useable - Windows 7 Forums
for vista, too

tried running the malwarebytes but it did not find anything. !!
added some dll entries and restarted my browser as well as my router, now it is working fine.but this has happened several times too ,, it will work fine for some time then again it gets the same problem.

Well, good luck! Hopefully it will be the lucky time. It certainly does not look like a Malware Infection now, so that is good. :)
