Right got it now. install instructions are as follows.
Download the files and save where you can find it.
(I sent two to try) and double click it.
If that fails
Go to Device Manager and expand Sound And Game Controllers
Right click your sound controller and select Properties, Update Driver.
When asked Search on line or Browse pick Browse
Browse to where you saved the file and select it.
Then follow what I said about enabling (use this device) in sound icon by the date.

No I have no other ideas except you are doing something wrong
Re read the instructions and try again.

I really don't know what to say to you.
You download the drivers to your desktop, go to device manager,right click on the sound device after expanding it and update the driver.
Then go to the sound icon(near clock) right click and click recording devices, highlight the microphone then properties and check use this device after selecting the device you want to use as the default.
Don't really know what else to tell you.
If that didn't work and you find an answer please post back and tell us what you did.
As I said earlier I never use a mic.

dell were really F**kin useless just showed me basic sound enabling which i already know!! and plus it did'nt work!

Sorry you're having no luck anywhere!
I think we just about came to a dead end with suggestions.
The only other thing I can think of at present, that maybe you haven't tried, is one of the Intel sites.
