I have an HP dv2915nr with Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit. Recently when I was trying to upload some pictures from my camera to my laptop via my SD card, it came up with the error "Driver Installation Module Stopped working and was closed".

I tried reinstalling drivers and such and have had no luck at all. Can anyone help me? :(

Hello Libymed,

After driver updates as Americancritic suggested, I would next suggest you to try putting your system in clean boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue. If yes, you may have to contact the program manufacturer for any updates or uninstall and re-install the program.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7?

Can you tell me what were the changes you made before the issue occurred?

Thanks. Arvin

I tried it, and it downloads the new, updated driver, but it can't instal. When my computer tries to update the drivers, that's when the error pops up.

Oh, okay. I think the problems started when I changed from Windows 7 back to Vista.

Do you think it's possible that since I was once upgraded to 7 that the drivers might only be compatible for that version of the OS?

Have you checked the device mamager to make sure there are no yellow flags next to any of the drivers.

Click start...
In the search box type device manager...
Click view...
click show hidden devices...
Then make sure they are all up to date...
