If you are running Vista x64 with the extended kernel discussed at another forum, playing h.264 videos with Firefox Quantum is a known issue and the solution is very advanced. Hello again messin. It is certainly much easier to use Win7. However, since your original post on October 28, win32 (the creator of the extended kernel for Vista) has devised an installer that installs the Win7 codecs required by Firefox Quantum on Vista. You can find it among his downloads at Mega. (Sorry, but I am not authorized to post links to his Mega site.) It is amusing to me that two forum members “liked” a reply above that merely told you something you already knew: i.e. that Firefox 52.9 (at least the x86 version) supported vanilla Vista.i use extended kernel but my main machine is 7
