I wanted to make sure that you understand something. The cookies that you want to save are the good cookies. There are also bad cookies and that is why we want to delete them. Some are know as trakcing cookies, they follow you from site to site and then you may get pop up advertisments based upon what they think that you like.
Bottom line, we want to get rid of cookies, but keep the good ones.

The bad ones are privacy concerns and can cause problems.

First if they do not delete, you did not check cookies, look at the screen shot that I sent you. If it is checked then right after you clean go and look right then, they should be gone. Every time you go to the websites that give cookies they give them again. You may want to use Ccleaner once every couple of days, I do.
All you have to do is right click, as I told you, before you delete, this will save all the cookies that you use on a regular basis; this forum, facebook, your bank, etc.
Then look at the cookies in the left box. If you see names that you recognize and want to keep, just send them over to the right side. If you don't there is no problem, they will just be given to you again the next time you go to the site.
I just keep the cookies from sites that I need to sign in etc.

This WILL remove ALL of your cookies good or bad.
You will have to sign in once again to all your favorite sites, etc. But once that is done the cookies will be back.
Use this clean up even more files and cookies. This is great.
After you use this and you dont mind signing in once more. Use CC once a week and this once every 3 months. You can use this every month for even better clean up, but then the cookies will disappear, again.
