ok i just got this computer. I play world of warcraft. the computer runs fine until i play world of warcraft. I have done all the updates important and optionals. i get

when i play world of warcraft. It tells me as a solution to update the drivers. I have downloaded the drivers from intel they say the computer doesn't meet the requirements to install. Windows says it is updated. I have uninstalled and reinstalled through windows and 3rd party drivers. I get the same problem. I didn't get the restore disks as i got this used. is there anything i can do?

I am sorry for hear that you are having a problem. Well done on filling in your System Specs

Firstly, how did you update the drivers? Why not have a quick try using this: Intel® Driver Update Utility

Maybe that will work.

ok well i got the memory test error today. took out 1 chip it and it passed. Got a good graphics driver from the hp site. seemed to be a downgrade but it works better. I still get glitches in wow. but no blue screen. Then i decided to add the memory chip back in and it passed memory check with the chip back in. I had a 500w power supply and decided to put it in this computer. I don't know if i should hook up the extra 4 pin into the main or leave it like it was with the older powersupply with the 20pin.
the motherboard and processor is
Asus IPIBL-LB with a intel E2200.

Which 4 pin are you talking about? If you have a 24 pin plug all 24 need to be in.

ok the mother board had a 24 pin input. the stock power supply only had a 20 pin wire that was plugged in. my new power supply has the 24 pin plug seperated into a 20 pin and a 4 pin so it can work with either or motherboards. I don't know if it would hurt if i had all plugged in. i left them out for now. if it would increase performance or something then i would like to plug in the last 4 pins.

I've never seen a 20 pin in a 24, but if youre plugs 24 ten you need to use them all.

Btw, did you plug in the 4 pin cpu power up by the cpu socket?

i did plug in the 4 pin cpu plug im using the computer to get on the internet. as i said the original power supply only had the 20 pin plug and was plugged into a 24 pin receptor. I just wondered with the new power supply if i should plug in the other 4 pin or leave it as it was stock. I don't want to fry the motherboard but if it would increase performance i would want to plug it in. i too find this wierd. why would Hp put a 20 prong power supply into a mother board with a 24 pin outlet? cheaper power supply i guess. I got lucky i guess with the power supply have the break seperator where the 20 and the 4 unhook and can make a 20 0r 24 pin plug. ill keep it like this i guess.

Most new psu's have a 20+4 cable.

I'd plug it in, you won't fry anything. It might be the old 20 put out more power in the 20 pins, then this psu can put out in its 20 pin.
