Seven is easier to use than Vista and the learning curve isn't as step going from XP to Vista.

The transition from Vista to Seven is actually quite easy.

But Vista's still a good OS.

They fixed some things in 7 like putting back the slider for how much disk space to use with shadow copy/restore points. In Vista I had to find out from Brink how to adjust the max. :)

The machine I'm using came with Vista and I loved it I'd be using it now if it wasn't for the offer that was made when Windows 7 was being launched.

I still have it on here but the only time I go into that partition is when I need to update it, I love using Windows 7 and will in time rid the machine of Vista so I can have the extra space but that doesn't mean Vista was rubbish, far from it in my eyes but then it had the hardware under it to run. ;)

Vista is not dead, yet. The VF forum is slow because most users know how to use it by now, just the problems are there. In 7, we have both the problems and those that do not know how to use it. Remember the crowds when it first came out. "How do I install"?

Yeah, I just started helping people here like weeks ago because I noticed there's others that don't know much about computers that may need help... but everyone is switching to Windows 7. If I could get a copy I'd switch too, but I'm not going to spend $100+ to get it.

I'm using Vista on 6 machines, XP on two and Windows 7 on one. Other than sharing printers across Vista networked systems, I've had no big issues and am very happy with Vista.

I do admit that Windows 7 just seems to work...far fewer hassles with it than I had with Vista, but I'm not ready to spend all that money to upgrade so many computers (I have two college students in my family...both have laptops and desktops...keeps me busy...and BROKE!!!) when Vista still works for me :).

Vista Still beats the hell of 7.
It is much faster on my P4 than Windows 7

Some how I still prefer the beautiful startup ORB of Vista than nothing of 7.

Windows 7 started lagging(decrease in performance within a month and at the end became very slow).

Hence I came back to Vista in the end.

Last but not the least I still prefer the Name Windows Vista over Windows 7

Yeah, I found Vista pre SP1 quite "wrenching" myself. I think I played with Services settings for about 4 months trying to settle the HD down. :)

Sorry Sir You are making a mistake.

Windows 7 still has Issues to be ironed out. Like the Performance glitches which I experienced and many are still experiencing.

Windows Vista still runs faster compared to Windows 7.
-Videos load Quicker.
-Windows opens faster
-No Random freezing
-Games feel faster
-and many more.....

So the bottom line is that It is still a Better OS at least for me and for people who still love it.:party:
