Avira Avira AntiVir Rescue System
Dr. Web Dr.Web LiveCD is a software product that features a standard, Dr.Web scanner

Remember to update before scanning, Aviras cant though.

I saw 1 min of his video on Youtube. Find it hard to believe he is a major risk to someone living in Sweden.

Only thing making sense is you installing same evil/wrong software over and over and mistake that for weirdo attack. But you dont so mystery. Post back if you find out what it is.

Since you have Windows SDK I dont think you need help from programs to find updated drivers.

Should think Kaspersky is enough to cool paranoia and you probably should not install anything else if you have the full suite. But stuff like Comodos free suite is pretty good if fixed on locking things down. Requires interest to use efficiently, dont expect 100% plug&play. Not just Firewall but a thing called Defense+, which might be real benefit of Comodo. Also comes with less than great AV part, can be excluded from install. Check it out but dont install on top of Kaspersky without checking for compatibility, I expect zero if you go by Kaspersky recommendations.

I'd thought I'd come back to this as it's linked to a sticky file.

After much trouble to find out what was wrong it turns out that I was having trouble with AV. Since this episode occured I have learned that Kaspersky AV does not work properly at scanning certain files. Kaspersky AV scans the files slowly but also uses up all the RAM to pass over the files in effect burning out your RAM memory. The only reason I found this out is because my friend has the same problem.

@PGB1965

You can try all AV Free for a month or so...

P.S After re-reading this Post again I feel I've been a bit of a prat. This happens when I get stressed. So my apologies to everyone concerned with this Post.
