CPU and graphics were running at about 95 when the crash happened but i have them down to 65 going by speccy

Seems rather high. You should shot for about 45 when idle and 65 when running (centergrade). Might be a good possiblity that is the cause of the problem.

Any sugestions on how to keep a laptop that is always running cool. Funny thing is, I have it hooked up to a 40 inch 1080p tv and I use that as my monitor.
