SP2 will not remove from my PC, it says not all of the SP2 update is gone, I have to get it done because my Windows Vista Ultimate, will not upgrade from a new CD player I've been told that all programs be deactivated. I hope I hope someone can help me please.

Have not sp1 but sp2 and it will still not remove it, have seen this page before, must have sp2 completely uninstalled if you have a way how to disable applications on is important because it locks things like the need to uninstall, sry for a long explanation

Windows Vista Ultimate should upgrade fine from SP2. The only thing I see is this: Is your copy of Windows Vista Ultimate DVD not SP2, but SP1, or no Service Pack at all?
