I hate Halloween

I was watching a program the other night about all the locations they used for that film

So do I. Up here in the North, this wekend is one of the last really spiritual occasions left. People lighting candles on the graves, making the grave yards look fantastic. Imagine a grave yard with thousends of graves and perhaps twice as many candles, glittering in the dark. In the Northern part of the country also with snow as an extra touch to it. It used to be one of the few traditions that was not commercialized. Now there are kids running around asking for candy. If you say you have none, they ask if you have any money...
It just makes me feel obsolete, and pumpkins, they do not even grow here.

I agree Submarine. They just commercialized Halloween and destroyed the original purpose of it.

Big changes this year. No teenager came, no black kids, one set of mexican kids and maybe 12 from our neighborhood with their parent. 90% of the houses had their lights out. Use to be almost every house decorated and gave out candy and parents from the bad neighborhoods would bring their kids to ours. The large churches now have partys and parents take their kids their. News said 3 little ones were shot with paint balls, one in the eye that had to go to the hospital. Memphis isn't what it use to be in the 50s.
