I want to install Windows Vista on my Alienware 17, with UEFI boot. The laptop firmware is GOP. I do everythings in this thread but it stuck on boot screen, HDD led brinks every seconds. In safe mode, it stuck at crcdisk.sys, HDD led brinks every seconds.

System specs:
Intel Core i7 4700MQ
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 770M
[HD Graphics 4600 disabled]
Samsung SSD 860 EVO 500GB
Hitachi 750GB <--- Installation disk.
16GB SKhynix (4x4GB)

BIOS:
SATA: AHCI
Fastboot: Disabled

USB is working during boot..

Screenshot will be update because i use my phone to write this thread, it not support to upload files.

Welcome to Vista Forums RedGreenBlue12. I'm afraid Vista will not work properly on "Haswell" processors such as Intel Core i7 4700MQ. :(

:( that is a sad sign. VMware 3D performance is very bad.

Yes. Intel Core i7 supported Vista up to Ivy Bridge, but not Haswell and later. Your hardware needs a newer OS, or Vista needs older hardware.

Apparently vista works fine with AMD Summit ridge, such as the six core Ryzen 5 1600. Not sure about the Ryzen 5 2600, but it might.
