Need help deleting Java 6 Update 29

Well I ran that and Java is still there in add/remove programs, and still can't be deleted. This is great help, just very frustrating how it is not working.

My Computer

OK, now the big guns
Go to search type java, if it pops up right click and then settings, find out where it is hiding and then delete manually. If that does not work, use the same procedure and when in setting, click delete temporary files.
Mine are in C:/ progam files86>java

Yeah I did, and Disk Cleanup and it's still there. I'm going to go to bed now so I will check the tread in the morning. I'm running a virus scan with Malware Bytes right now, just thought I might as well try it.

Hi,

Look in the registry for the entry: -

Each entry on this list (Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs) is held in a key in the registry under:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
Use 'regedit' to edit the registry. Ideally backup your machine before you do this in case you modify the wrong registry entry.

Just remove the key for any entries that are no longer required.
Note: Most entries reflect the application name as it appears in the list. Some do not. The sub-key 'Application Name' holds the application name as it appears in the uninstall list.

Well I already did this method to remove all java related registries.

My Computer

OK,

If that is so, it would not be listed in the control panel, "Programs & Features" list.

If you display the control panel as a list on the Start menu, is "Java" listed in there? If so, what does the applet say about Java?

Hi,

In "Revo uninstaller", what options do you have if you right click on the Java icon?

Coming late to this and only having skim-read - so I could be off-base.
The initall post had a removal log - that log is APPENDED, NOT REPLACED, when the removal tool is run again.
That is why it always contains the same information!

What evidence is there that the original Java install is still present? - by the OP's own statements he cannot find either the files or the registry entries involved.

No it is not in the control Panel or Revo Uninstaller. It appears that is is gone except in add/remove programs and when I try to delete it. And Noel what do you mean? There is no Java install files. My problem is When Installing new version it deletes old version but cannot find the msi file for removing old one. Even though I cannot find the file even when I installed on other comp.

What installer are you using to install the new version?
Have you perhaps had both the x86 and x64 versions installed, and only removed one of them?
Check not only the C:\Program Files folder, but also the C:\Programs Files (x86) folder (if you have one).

From what I can see inthe JavaRa log, the only affected folders on the machine were the ones accessible without Admin access - I suspect that you only ran the tool as a normal user, and need to run it with Admin permissions, or with UAC turned off (there is a note to this effect in the JavaRa pages, but it's almost invisible)

Just because you are an administrator, does not mean that you are running with Administrator rights - when you ran JavaRa, were you asked to provide Administrator credentials? If not, then it was running as a limited user, and did not have access to many areas of the OS.
