Alright. That reg cleaner you downloaded from zoombli.com is known Malware.

I never linked you to that reg cleaner. You have malware that is infecting your HOSTS file.

You need to backup all your User data through Vista file backup utility and do a destructive reformat and re-install of Vista.
Do not install Mcafee. Install either Avast! or Avira.

Listen.

I never gave you a link to that rogue "reg Cleaner" which is a known malware program.
I specifically asked you to install either Avast or Avira and malwarebytes and delete the possibly corrupted version of mcafee. then run those scans BEFORE running sfc /scannow and disk check. I suspect that your issues are due to viruses and trojans/hijackers/hosts file redirection, etc.

You need to re-install Windows after backing up your User data.

Again,
You have malware/viruses/Trojans (most likely)

Run the antivirus and malwarebytes scanners to clean your system, and/or reinstall Vista.

Reposted steps to follow:

run the scans with the antivirus and malwarebytes. If they come up clean then that is good. that means your issue is not malware related.
then, go the the performance link I gave you How To Make Vista more responsive and faster , follow the walkthrough to activate the Admin: command prompt-BUT copy and paste this and hit enter:

sfc /scannow

If it comes back with no integrity violations, then skip to step two (disk check) follow the walkthrough. If it comes back with no system file issues or corruption or bad sectors, then we know Windows is ok.

then we update your WLAN driver ( I will need you system model number to locate the driver).

IF... you fail any of these scans with corruption or the scan aborts, that means Windows is messed up and is the cause of your issues. This will neccessitate a re-install of Vista most likely to fix. At that point you will Use Vista's file backup Utility to backup all your User data.
To access the backup utility go to Start>in search bar, type, backup> then follow prompts to backup to either DVDs or external drive

See walkthrough to access Backup Utility above, and re-install Tutorial if a re-install is required.

note- Install Avast antivirus it is a free antivirus/antimalware with a free year subscription. Uninstall your version of Mcafee after you install Avast!.

wait untill the scans are done- and be sure to scan with Avast.

then do a disk check. Windows may need to be repaired or re-installed due to corruption.

EDIT:

you can contact your systems tech support/customer service. The number should be in the book that came with your laptop (or on a sticker on the bottom), and see if they can help you. If they do take it you will be without it probably 4-6 weeks, and It will come back most likely with the Vista O/S re-installed. So backup all your data files.
