network identifing problem

thanks boss also i will back the lot up and wen u say it needs vista re installing do u mean basicly 2 fletten the com and reinstall the lot also id there any way i can reinstall the WLAN drivers ie update them now 2 c if that helps and with most files curupted can they be repaired now by any chance if so how

It doesnt work that way. I doubt the WLAN driver will fix the integrity issues. Besides, you still have not told me the notebook Model #.

boot into the vista disk (or recovery partition at boot), and follow prompts to Install. At screen that shows you Vista volume (partition) DELETE or FORMAT it and re-install vista onto it.

Ok.

After further research, It has been determined that the website in question may be somewhat safe (as it appears only older versions of that reg cleaner included malware- and with the newer release version 5 has been removed).

Malwarebytes came up clean, good.

That leaves the issue of corruption, and reg cleaner use which may have contributed to the integrity violations/Windows corruption.
Considering your friend's PC had no problems with the secured/unsecured network, and you do means it is a specific problem to your notebook only.

I suggest a data backup, and then a complete re-install of Vista to fix all issues.
If you are uncomfortable with doing this I suggest the following resolution:

All Utilities/drivers/Applications are on your recovery cd's. You also have a recovery partition that will allow you to create recovery disks (see attached Recovery pdf).

To start the rescue process
1 Insert a recovery disc to the drive while the computer is on, turn off your
computer, and turn on the computer again.
The System Recovery Options window appears.
If you have not yet created the recovery discs, follow these steps:
1 Turn on your computer.
2 Press the F10 key when the VAIO logo appears.
If the Edit Boot Options window is displayed, press the Enter key.
3 Skip the following steps 2 to 4.
2 Select a keyboard layout and click Next.
3 Select an operating system and click Next.
4 Select VAIO Recovery Center.
5 Select Rescue Data and Start.
6 Follow the on-screen instructions

This will tell you how to access the recovery and re-install all programs/drivers:
How can I reinstall separate applications on my VAIO with a Hard Disk Drive Recovery?
