Hi,
I have a Compaq/HP Presario F700
- AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core processorTK-57
- NVIDIA GeForce 7000M
- 2 GB RAM

Just recently my computer refused to wake up from sleep mode. When I closed the lid normally when i open it back up the power button flashes, then when i touch the mouse it wakes back up. The first time i noticed a problem the computer just took longer to wake up. I sat there for a minute moving the cursor and pressing on buttons before it woke up. The next time it went to sleep it didn't wake at all. The power button keeps flashing but the touch pad seems to be disconnected or just off.

I do have a wireless mouse. I have tried unplugging it before i put the comp to sleep without sucess. I have tried updating my video card driver and the driver for the touch pad. When i do a windows update it tells me there is an update for the touchpad but there is an error when i try to install it.

So far I have had to change my settings so that my computer never sleeps. This seems like a solution that will eventually burn my computer out.

If anyone has any tips i'd appreciate them.
Let me know if you need any more information.

thanks
Pete
