I have an all-in-one Sony Vaio Desktop that has Vista home premium. This desktop is about 5 years old but for the first three and a half years was rarely used, so it's in fairly new and in really good condition.

This past couple of weeks, out of the blue the PC will reboot itself, and once it restarts I get this:
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.0.6002.2.2.0.768.3
Locale ID: 1033

Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: 9f
BCP1: 0000000000000003
BCP2: FFFFFA8004025A30
BCP3: FFFFFA8006217050
BCP4: FFFFFA8004267010
OS Version: 6_0_6002
Service Pack: 2_0
Product: 768_1

Files that help describe the problem:
C:\Windows\Minidump\Mini020913-03.dmp
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-562383-0.sysdata.xml
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Temp\WERC8BA.tmp.v ersion.txt
It will ask if I want to search online for a solution but it never returns with any solution.

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem?

Thanks Rich. If you are an Admin on Vistax64 and would like to move my thread to Crashes and Debugging forum, that would be just fine with me.

I will get all my information together asap. Thanks for the links/help.

I downloaded and ran the diagnostics tool. It placed an empty folder on my desktop. I chose Grab All, and then ran all 10 programs and they successfully completed. as I went to zip the folder for upload, I checked to see what was in the folder and there was nothing in it.

Do you have a clue where they all went?

Well, I ran through this process a second time thinking I could exercise greater control and avoid misplacing these items, but on the second time around a 'Copy File' window would open up saying; There is already a file with the same name in this location.

Here's the three options this window gives me:

EventApp.txt
Copy and Replace
EventApp (C:\Windows)

Don't Copy
EventApp.txt
EventApp (C:\Users\Alexa\Desktop\SF_16_02_2013) THIS IS WHERE THE EMPTY FOLDER IS.

Copy , but keep both files

This diagnostics tool isn't giving me any control over where this is going and the info is NOT where it says it is, which is here: (C:\Users\Alexa\Desktop\SF_16_02_2013).

I have received a couple of errors along the way also, but I just clicked the item on the Diag. tool a second time and didn't get the error the second time.
