Will the easy BCD even work on computers that cant get to windows screen?
The only way I can get to the safe mode and the stuff that comes up when you press f-8
Is by using the disk I bought when I bought my computer, but Safe mode or system restore doesn't work it freezes up half way through the process.
when I try safe mode a list starts to run but freezes up on
\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\disk.sys is were it stops at every time
when I try system restore it just goes blank screen and nothing. If you need more information ask ,and i will try to explain. I have no clue how to work on computers.

I hoping that the BCD will work.

I dont think I can use that but I downloaded it anyway might need for later
I cant even get into windows screen to use it
But it gave me a link to try on the site you sent me to it is
Recovering the Windows Bootloader from the DVD - EasyBCD - NeoSmart Technologies Wiki but for some reason I cant even use my disk to reboot it it act like it wont even read the disk
I got 3 disk all of which I bought with my system
Disk 1 of 1
Disks 1 of 2 and 2 of 2
when i use disk 1 of 1 it brings me to a screen To reboot system restore and all the stuff you get when you press f-8, but it freezes or screen goes blank if I try them.
The only thing that happens if i use no disk is.
I power it up it comes to a screen that has Gateway and 2 options to press F-2 BIOS or f-10 boot menu then after that screen goes away I get the error.
If i use disk 1 of 1 and restart the computer it does the Gateway thing then it goes to
(Windows is loading Files) it loads all way up ,then its got loading screen with a little box with green bar going across for like 10 seconds after that it just goes blank nothing else happens.
When I use disk 1 of 2 or 2 of 2 it does nothing but takes me to error screen even if i boot from dvd/cd rom

IF this works you will lose your stuff and you have to install SPs, updates etc.
Boot the computer and during boot quickly and many times hit f11

Those links are rather old, guess they are no longer active. Im trying everything that I know but running out of options.
If you know someone that has a Vista cd, you can borrow and validate with your product key.
