my profile was courpted and it loged me in the temporary profile like a dummy i was in to much of a hurry and didn't read the pop up message that says it will be deleted when restarted so i moved most of my files from my desktop music documents and downloads folder and now its gone is there any way to get those files back? like another dummy i didnt make any backups :-(
it is there but the problem is when the temp profile came up i cut and pasted like a dummy in to the temp profile then computer froze and restarted then i booted in to safe mode created a new user and now the files and stuff i need are not there could i do a data recovery for the temp folder with all the settings in there?
I did this and now I can only Log on in safe mode. Also, there is no "profilelist" folder when i go into the regristry editor. I will try to get a movie of how it looks when i try to boot up.
I believe that i've got home premium if it makes a difference.
I cannot upload or save pictures or video with this computer, but once i get access to another computer, i will try to upload them.
edit: i tried another system restore and i was able to log on normally. still cannot find profile list and the other admin account i created does not work because it some .dll for windows mail doesn't work and it comes up with a blank blue screen the default color of the "classic theme"
If that is a OEM Vista recovery disc, then it can only be used on the original computer that it was first installed on.
If your computer has a 64-bit CPU and all of your devices have 64-bit Vista drivers available for them, then yes you can run a 64-bit Vista. The link below can help explain the differences in more detail between 32-bit and 64-bit.
Note to self, read all the stuff written in the properties of the computer...I have a 32-bit os. and i downloaded it from this site (don't know if i can post this link) and i do not believe it is oem. I'll edit it if i'm not supposed to but here it is: Windows Vista Recovery Disc Download — The NeoSmart Files
aww crud. is there any hope of fixing my computer like that? or is there any way to format it and then repair the os? i was hoping to do that with the link i posted. is there any way to restore the profile list folder?
