Vista start up problem

Yup, i definitely do see them there. And i tried admin to no avail.

Ok, try updating the video card through the internet. When you double click on your video card it will pop up a window, hit 'update driver' then 'search the internet'

If this doesn't work then I have no idea why it wont install...

You can try re downloading it, but instead of saving it, run it...

BSOD's again...

It was updating the driver and then BSOD! Something about modification of a system code. 0x00000109

Rebooted and yet another BSOD. C000021a this time.

I apologize, but it's very late here and i need to go to bed.... :( Best solution is to reformat?

As per Microsoft and other forum instruction: Yes.
But were going to try everything to save this installation, if not, resort to formatting lastly.

Actually if you have the original vista disks I can still help without re installing and reformatting.

Go to this link and read the 2nd post, this explains using the Vista disk to fix any system issues without re-installing and losing data.

windows Vista will not load. stop:c0000221 unknown hard error, \systemroot\system32\ntdll.dll.

I tried the chkdsk method and windows booted up! however, i fear that it might be like the last night issue where it came up and then it crashed again. So far so good though...

However, to make sure these errors have stopped, what do i need to do?

I would follow the steps outlined in the link I provided above :)

Those steps use the Vista install disk to replace any corrupt or damaged system files, which is the case for you...

I just wanted to reply to say that I fixed the issue. In the end, it turned out to be a faulty RAM stick. Yes indeed, only that... After wrestling with it and trying to figure what was wrong, I decided to take a look at hardware and by some random luck, I removed one of RAM sticks and what do you know, Windows booted up JUST fine and no BSOD has appeared anymore. Just to be sure, I removed my OTHER RAM stick and stuck this crappy one back and it confirmed it. The BIOS screen wouldn't even come with the busted stick. Replaced the other RAM stick and it all worked fine. At least it's still under warranty. So. the case is solved and I thank CrucialHoax and Frostmourne for all their help. Stayed up till late at night to help me solve this and we did manage to get somewhere, but in the end, it was just hardware. Again, thank you guys! :D
