Vista start up problem

It says the executable is corrupt...

Try doing it the same way you updated the sound, through the device manager...Choose 'Update driver from file'

I've become concerned over the update of this driver. I retried the executable and it worked... for about halfway through and then a corrupt error came it went off and a message that the system was not modified. Yet now, the the graphic card driver says it's date is 17/08/2009...

Ha, nice.. Well if it didn't change the system I would leave it be. Are you stable now? If the system still isnt stable I would definitely consider updating the video driver. I'll look more into that.

Ok, your system is 64 bit correct?

I think once we get the blue screen error completely fixed these errors will go away. I had an explorer crashing issue and that killed device manager. So lets focus on the first issue.

Your pc is a 64bit machine right? Don't apologize, this is what the forums are for.

Since the video card isn't updating there is another way around this.

It is indeed a 64-bit machine. And i did that, but it's taking a while to install the ActiveX...

I also just noticed that the sound on my computer was muted. I rolled over it and it says 'No Audio output device is installed'....

Ok, just making sure..

It might take awhile, as it is probably done installing its just looking for the drivers.

Did you set the bios to your video card by default or is it still using the mobo?

For the sound, lets do the same thing as we did for everything else, uninstall it, reboot then install. Should correct the problem...Grr your machine is picky

I haven't touched the bios of the GPU since I purchased it.

None of that. And that nvidia activex is still not going any further.

Alright, try running the installed as 'Administrator' see if it works that way.

Yup, i definitely do see them there. And i tried admin to no avail.
