I can't get vista ultimate to update or defender, when I try it shows error 80246008 which means I have to start BITS service but when I do that then it shows error 1068 for which I didn't found a solution yet, so if someone knows anything how to solve this please tell me.
And this is 32-bit version of vista.

Start -> Run -> type "services.msc". Make sure the Background Intelligent Transfer Service is started and set to Automatic. If Run is not in your Start menu type "run" in the search bar. To change a Service settings, right click on the service in question and select Properties. Off the top of my head I am not sure what services BITS is dependent on, so you might get a message that it could not start because another service is not running. You may need to start those parent services.
