As you can see, my scores aren't that great - but primarily due to the graphics. As I'm not a gamer or a graphic artist, and the others are acceptable (if nothing like the Cray), I'm perfectly fine with them (well, not with the scores but with how the laptop generally functions). There are times, however, when I do get a message that my machine would run faster if I didn't use Aero (which I typically ignore) and there are times when I pretty much max out my CPU (but 2GB is the max for my laptop so I just need to learn to not keep so many programs open at the same time or close them when done - usually it's a whole slew of Internet Explorer pages that I open to research questions but don't bother to close).
Since I won't be spending the extra money on special graphics if I buy another laptop though I will increase/improve memory and the hard drive - and probably the processor just because the computer will come with a better one (probably at least a year away which means that long before W7 as well because the laptop isn't compatible with W7 - motherboard, processor and graphics card so upgrading isn't a smart option), my scores aren't likely to improve much even when I do buy a new system. Even though the graphics look the worst, what I really need most for the way I use my system is more RAM (if only that were possible now - but I'll just have to make due and wait on that).
Anyway, that's the story here. Not much to write home about but it generally works for me (and it is, after all, 3 yrs old and upgraded from the original XP which is no doubt why W7 is out of the question).
