Hello there,
I had a problem signing in into WLM. Every time I sign in into the current version of Windows Live Messenger, I stay in for a few seconds and then there is an error message after which Windows Live Messenger shuts down. I use XP.
The error message is as follows:
"Windows Live Communications Platform has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
The error details are the following:
AppName: wlcomm.exe
ModName: kernel32.dll
AppVer: 14.0.8098.930
Modver: 5.1.2600.5781
offset: 00009eda
I tried to look up the file kernel32.dll and it seems to be legitimate. Is this a spyware/malware problem or is it something else?
Please advise.
Thanks in advance.
