Computer Freezing! Help!

I installed it and it isn't telling me anything is wrong...in fact it seems to be telling me all is well and that i havn't had any "frustrations" or crashes in over 2 weeks...which is far from the truth....I also don't see anything about programs interfering...just a section that gives you the option to disable unneccesary add-ons

If it freezes in safe mode its hardware.

so far....the only time I had a freeze in safe mode was when I tried to Shred Free Disk Space in FileShredder. It freezes about 10 to minutes in eveytime...safe mode or not. It never used to before all these crashes started. I'm still confused with this soluto...It hasn't shown me anything

I just got a freeze while trying to navigate through soluto. I had to reboot and I relaunched soluto and it still didn't acknowledge it. Are they any other options to stop all these freezings or determine whats causing them?

Soluto shows software problems, I think you have hardware. As I said when I began to give sugestions, my strength is the software area.

I just thought of something and I think it may just be a coincidence but I figure I'll throw it out there. I have At&t uverse as my cable & internet provider. Just before all these freezes started, I had to call them b\c of cable box issues. After resetting my box and resolving that issue, they then told me I had an outdated modem and it needed to be replaced with an updated one. (I was having no trouble with the modem or my internet connection this time.) The modem came a few days later and the freezes followed shortly after. Is it a possibility that this could be causing these freezes? I never actually connected my laptop to the modem or any router. I just hopped on the network. My dad's computer, which is upstairs from the modem has gotten a weaker signal since the update as well. I get a good signal but my laptop is next to the modem. The main reason I suspect this is because I've disconnected from the network and hadn't had a freeze while not connected. All freezes have occurred while connected to my wireless network. If the modem is faulty...could that cause a freeze?

Yes, that can cause the freeze. The way to test is to use the computer without the modem and if there are no freezes thats the cause. You must be careful to use the computer long enough to be sure.

Ok...I will get back to you on that....is there anyway to fix it besides asking for a new modem?

Can anyone help me with this. I noticed in device manager that I have 2 drivers listed under "Network Adapters" and I am wondering if this could be causing the problem. My computer is OFFICIALLY only freezing up when I'm connected to my wireless network. I'm wondering if they are conflicting with each other, if it is safe to uninstall or disable 1, and which one I should. This is what is listed:
Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
Intel(R) WiFi Link 5100 AGN

If this isn't the issue, can anyone tell me how I can fix this? I'm not so sure the modem is faulty and I am getting good signals and speed when connected.

You can test that yourself. Just start with a system restore point. Then disable one. If the problem is not solved just enable and disable the other.
Be sure to start with a system restore, probably not needed, but neither is home insurance.
BTW after disable or enable be sure to boot.
