updated laptop hdd problems?

its shutting down now but it had auto downloaded updates so its doing them also? is that ok for them to do that at same time as sfc to try its fix? on the desktop pc this is? thanks

it froze whilst configuring 2 of 3 so had to power button shutdown again?
i just botted it again and it proceeded to configure 3 of 3 then booted to desktop
is that ok?

however i didnt see anything related to the sfc command line during shutdown or restart ?

this is the desktop pc again not laptop?

i ran sfc on the laptop

it reported windows resource protection did not find any integrity violations

does that mean its all good or do i go onto 2nd step of sfc tutorial (step (B) or not?

i just had another windows update and after the update it did not say to restart the machine but i restarted to test and after restart it froze again so it seems to be related to windows updates and restarts as far as i can tell...

as the sfc scan came back as ok do ineed to continue with that proceddure or do i try uninstalling all updates back to before theproblem 1st occures 2 nights ago?

If the problem is tied to the updates, you need to uninstall them and then, install one or two at a time, be sure its ok, then install one or two more. Its going to be a pain, but thats the only thing that I can think of.

i agree completely but as i have had trouble with restore points (i dont know it wont work but it never seems to)
i will have to uninstall them from within windows updates 1 at a time also. wont i ?

as i think thats the only other way to un-install them (other than using a restore point)

or is there another quicker or better way than those two methods

they all seeem to be .NET framework ones is there a known issue with this update?

also i just checked event viewer and found this these events are every time it freezes

I would not install them again and see what happens.

just uninstall them and then leave them out all together? is that safe/ok to do that?

If you cant get the computer to work with them, you must leave them out. I dont see a choice.
